Job Tracking Job Series Processes |
|
Process Selection |
Click the Job Series Process button on the Job Tracking tab. The following form will appear:
From this screen you can Allocate Materials to an entire Job Series (group of jobs), print Pick Lists, Issue Materials and Print Serial Number Labels for attaching to the product. Click the appropriate radio button to select Allocate Materials, Print Pick Lists , Issue Materials or Print Labels, then use the drop-down combo to select the Job Series you wish to process, and click the OK button. This button will not become active until a valid selection is made. |
|
Allocate Materials |
If you have already run the MRP Process for jobs within the scope of the series you have selected from the above screen, then materials should already be allocated for those jobs. Running the process from this screen will enable you to ensure this has been done, or to run the allocation process for the series, independently of the MRP Process. |
|
Print Pick Lists |
Selecting this function will prompt you with two options:-
Option 1 Generate Global Pick
List for all jobs within scope You can select either or both (or neither, if you wish to abort the process) of these options according to your needs and working practice. Option 1 will generate a single Pick List (equivalent to the normal abbreviated Pick List) for all the materials required by the Job Series, as though the entire series were a single job. One line only will be generated for each material component, regardless of how many jobs use it, and the pick quantity will be the total for all the jobs in the series. Option 2 will generate an itemised series of Pick Lists (equivalent to the normal fully-detailed Pick List), one for each job in the series, with each separate job starting on a new page. Each material component will appear once for each job in the series, and the quantity to be picked is the quantity for that job only. This means that if the same material component is used in ten different jobs in the series, it will appear ten times in the itemised print-outs - once for each job that uses it. Clearly, Option 1 will produce the most convenient list for physically picking the materials, whilst Option 2 will enable you to split the materials into jobs, as may be needed on the Shop Floor. |
|
Issue Materials |
This function will issue materials to all jobs in the series, transferring stock from on-shelf to picked (WiP), and adjust all the allocation figures. It will also record the transaction to Stock Movements. |
|
Print Labels |
This option will print you labels for all jobs in the Job Series, contiguously in one run, using the same formats as available in Shop Floor Commander. |
